With single tires, the machine is only 35" (89 cm) wide. This allows the operator to pass through gate openings and work in highly restricted spaces.
The control design provides convenience for both renters and professional operators. Each machine comes with a safety and operation training video, as well as an operator's manual. All travel and cutting wheel operation functions are managed directly from the control panel.
The travel, swing, and raise/lower levers are equipped with sensors that recognize operator touch. If the operator's hands are removed from the controls for more than 0.5 seconds, the clutch automatically disengages, the cutting wheel brake is activated, and the "cutting wheel engaged" indicator starts flashing.
AutoSweep monitors engine RPMs and automatically regulates the cutting wheel travel speed. Reduces stress on the engine, drivetrain, and machine structure.
This option includes an oscillating axle and hardened steel axles and bushings. Hydraulic front steering improves the machine's maneuverability.
The SC252 is equipped with a hydraulic drive system. Provides easier transport and significantly better maneuverability compared to towable machines. For maximum traction, both wheels can be driven. For maximum maneuverability, either can be disengaged.
The SC252 is equipped with Vermeer's exclusive Yellow Jacket stump cutting system. The Yellow Jacket Cutter System is designed for faster and easier maintenance, as well as a longer lifespan for the teeth and holders.
