The patented Series III duplex drum offers proven cutting performance, and reversible hammers and tips that nearly double the wear life of single-sided designs. The optional chip drum produces a consistent chip end product for uses such as biofuel.

A wireless remote control unit allows the operator to run most machine functions from up to 91 m (300 ft) away. This lets the operator, from the cab adjust machine settings as the materials change, including control of the infeed settings and conveyor height.
